Last Friday I attended a seminar on "How To Develop Critical Thinking Skills For Effective Reading" at iLQAM, UiTM Shah Alam by Prof. Dr. Mohd Nasir Taib. 

I still remembered that during his talk, he keeps on repeating this sentence:

"PhD has to be straight forward, fun and significant"

Phewwww.....this week was a hectic week. I need to prepare and present in the Postgraduate Colloqium @ the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics, UiTM....mmg agak cuak jugaklah coz dah lama tak present in front of people...Alhamdulillah, I managed to do it...and received good constructive comments from the panel lecturers to improve on my proposal....

After this...have to work hard to improve the proposal....bagi kaw-kaw convincing lagi :)

NEVER GIVE UP AND CONTINUE DOING IT ITERATIVELY UNTIL YOU SUCCEED!!

JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF THAT YOU CAN DOOOOO ITTTTTT!!

Hmm...it has been a while since i wrote a long entry in my blog( hmm..pernah ke i tulih long entry?? hehe)....This couple weeks i have been pretty buzy with my research work...especially on the READING part where i need to read a lot of conference papers and journals.....From there I need to prepare my Gap Analysis.

The thing is when i found papers related to my research it makes me eager to print it.....tapi bile dah print banyak sangat ....ALAMAKKKK!!...banyaknye nak kene baca...READING is one thing...UNDERSTAND the papers is one thing...doing Phd is not as easy as it is...you MUST have the determination, perseverance, persistent...to do it. Being the lazy me...sometimes...i selalulah melalut2 buat keje lain yang tak related langsunggg with my research.....so howww???? This semester I have to prepare a new draft proposal and on the 24th of November there will be a Colloqium where we need to present on our progress for this semester....Well, wish me luck!! Semoga Allah memberi ku tahap kerajinan yang tinggi..AMIN...

p/s: Maybe some of you could you share your experiences with me during your study be it masters by research or phd. Manelah tau i bole apply balik tips2 yang berguna tu :)

After Registration Day...

Ok…maybe most of u would be asking..what activities have i been doing since my PhD registration day…hmm..actually..for the past 2 weeks during the weekend i have attended the Research Skills Seminar organized by the Centre of the Postgraduate Studies (CPS), UiTM and it is COMPULSORY…The next coming date for this seminar would on this Sunday (4th of July), 10th of July and 24th of July from 9am till 6pm….letih wooooo..but kinda fun coz i met phd and masters from various faculties…kire ada genglah seangkatan..:)

At the end of this seminar we will be given a certificate for us to proceed with the Defend of Proposal in Semester 2 later on…without the cert. there is noooooo wayyyy CPS will let us defend our proposal. This seminar consist of 8 modules that we have to finish within 1 month.


Other than that, each of us were given a Log Book that we have to update on all the activities through out our 3 years of study… the ONLY ONE they will give us….is like a sacred book that we have to treasure with all our heart..hehehe…so mmg kene jaga betui2lah buku ni…

At Last...

Sorry for not updating the blog for the last 1 week...Actually I've been really busy preparing all the related documents for my scholarship as well as getting my offer letter from Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT) for my PhD studies...

Alhamdulillah....last Saturday (19th June) I have finally registered for my PhD.  Currently I'm officially on study leave starting from 19th June 2010 until 18th June 2013 (insyaallah).....Takutlah pulak everytime thinking about it....Semoga Allah mempermudahkan segalanya.....amin..

Problem..Problem..

Sorry for not updating my blog for a few days...actually i'm facing quite a big problem..for me at least..mmm

Got an email from my potential supervisor from this one uni last Monday...saying that he will be leaving his current uni and will be working in another uni..so if i wanted to do my phd under his supervision i have to apply to this new uni...the problem is i've already received an offer letter from his current uni.

Initially, I was supposed to submit my study leave application the next day...tapi apa bole buat..kalau mcm ni punye cerita nampak gayanye i have to RE-APPLY AGAINNNNN to another uni..probably UM or UKM...mmmm..tensionnyeeee...it will like starting all over again...
